Loan Applications (Solicitudes)

The Loan Application (Solicitud) screen is the primary intake screen in StreetLoans. Before a loan can be disbursed or a borrower registered, a detailed loan application must be drafted and submitted. This ensures all credit terms, risk parameters, and borrower identity fields are properly verified.

Creating a New Loan Application

To start a new credit request in the system:

  1. Navigate to the Applications (Solicitudes) tab in the app.
  2. Tap the floating Plus (+) Button at the bottom right.
  3. The Loan Application Form will open, divided into two main categories: Applicant Information and Loan Specifications.

Field Descriptions

1. Applicant Information (Intake Details)

These fields gather the borrower's identity and location records:

  • First Name & Last Name: The applicant's full legal name as it appears on their official ID card.
  • Nick Name (Alias): Any alternative name or alias by which the applicant is widely known in their neighborhood (highly helpful for physical street routing).
  • ID Number (Cédula): The physical government identity card number. Ensure absolute accuracy as this prevents duplicate profiles.
  • Phone Number: Direct contact phone number for collections.
  • Address: Explicit street address, home number, sector, and landmarks.
  • Reference: A personal or commercial reference contact name and number.
  • Customer Notes: Special observations regarding the applicant's business or credit history.
  • Photo (Camera): Tap the camera icon to snap a profile photo of the applicant and their Cédula.

2. Loan Specifications (Credit Terms)

These parameters define the requested micro-credit plan:

  • Loan Type: Choose the loan product type (e.g., standard flat-interest plans, regional gota-a-gota formats).
  • Principal Amount (Capital): The raw cash amount requested by the applicant (e.g., $10,000 DOP).
  • Interest Rate: The flat rate percentage (e.g., 20%).
  • Number of Installments: Total number of payments to complete the credit (e.g., 20 payments).
  • Payment Frequency: How often payments must be collected:
    • Daily (Gota a Gota), Weekly, Bi-weekly, or Monthly.
  • Dates Matrix: Set the Requested Disbursement Date and select the First Installment Date. The system automatically computes the Last Installment Date based on the frequency and count.

Tap Save Application at the bottom. The system will process the math, show the total interest and installment size, and save the application locally.

Review & Application Statuses

All drafted applications are saved under the Staged Applications list with one of the following statuses:

  • In Progress (En Progreso): The application is a draft and is undergoing vetting. You can edit, update, or delete it at this stage.
  • Disbursed (Desembolsado): The application has been approved, cash has been delivered, and the client and loan have been automatically created in the live directories.
  • Rejected (Rechazado): The credit application was denied by administrators.
